Benefit Nights Can Bring Big Bucks

Have you ever thought about working with a local restaurant to have a benefit night for your organization? A benefit night is a time when members of your organization volunteer to work at a restaurant for a night in exchange for a portion of the money the restaurant made for the night. You can do this with tons of different restaurants in the area, and you won’t have to put forth much effort at all to raise the money. I’ve been a part of several fundraisers like this, and I’ve seen nothing but good come from them. Here is a look at how benefit nights work and what you may be able to do in yours.

Potential Profits from Benefit Nights

The amount of money that you make from a benefit night will depend on what restaurant you work with and how much money they generate when you are there. If the restaurant makes $3,000 in a night and you are supposed to make 10% of the money, you could earn $300 for your organization in one night. Most benefit nights will offer profit shares between 10% and 50% of the profits earned for the night, but there are some that offer more. You just have to look around and see what you may be able to make.

Where to Go for Benefit Nights

Most of the benefit nights I have worked in were through McDonald’s and Burger King, but most fast food restaurants will have programs like this in place. You may want to think of a popular fast food restaurant in your area and ask them if they have a benefit night program you could participate in. you could also contact standard restaurants, but they are less likely to have programs like this in place. Think like a criminal investigator and scope out a restaurant that you can work with.

What You’ll Do in a Benefit Night

For the most part, you will only be responsible for greeting people at the door and cleaning up around the restaurant during a benefit night. You won’t have to worry about cooking or taking orders because there is a chance you would mess up doing that. You mainly have to show up and ensure that the customers are well taken care of. You may open the doors for people and bring them their food if they decide to eat in the restaurant. You just have to handle the busy work that would take away from the standard employees.

Making the Most at a Benefit Night

If you want to maximize the amount of money you can make in a benefit night, you need to encourage other people to come to the restaurant the day you have the event. That is one reason why restaurants have benefit nights in the first place, because they know that you are likely to market their business to hopefully make money for your organization. Post some information on your Facebook page and on your organization’s website if you have one. Just get the word out that you will be at a certain restaurant on a certain day. You’ll earn more money if more people place orders there.

Try to pick a restaurant that gets a lot of customers because that will also improve your chances of making a lot of money. There is no sense in having a benefit night if you’re only going to make $20 from it. Think about places you go to a lot and then see if any of those places will work with you. With the right plan, you should be able to plan a pretty successful fundraiser for your college organization.

A Look at Pancake Breakfast Fundraising

I can’t tell you how many pancake breakfast fundraisers I’ve been a part of in my day. Just about every organization I was ever in had some sort of pancake fundraiser at one point or another. Thus if you’re looking for someone with a little insight into this money-making phenomenon, I’m your girl. Pancake breakfasts can be great sources of money when you need it, and they are almost guaranteed to be a hit if you market them well. Here is a look at these fundraising options and what they may be able to do for you.

Benefits of Pancake Breakfast Fundraisers

Perhaps the biggest benefit of a pancake breakfast is how low the cost is to have one. You don’t have to sacrifice an entire event planner salary to pay for this fundraising option. Breakfast food costs very little money to make, and all you need is a room with tables to have one in. you will have to spend money before you can make any from a pancake breakfast, but the money spent will easily be made up after you have a few people pay for their food.

Pancake breakfasts are also universal because most people love breakfast food in one way or another. If you have pancakes, eggs, bacon, cereal, and other foods people expect at breakfast, you can appeal to a large audience and draw in a lot of people to donate to your organization. Other food themed fundraisers aren’t always as successful because they are too taste-specific. Pancake breakfasts aren’t.

How to Hold a Pancake Fundraiser

If you think a pancake breakfast may be an ideal option for your organization, you need to know how to hold one. The first thing you need to do is find a place to hold the breakfast. You will need a place that has several electrical outlets for your food warmers, and preferably a kitchen to work in. Once you have the venue in order, you just need to make plans for the food and the marketing techniques you use to get people to it.

For the food, you can buy bulk batches of pancake batter, egg mix, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and much more. In some cases, you can even get this food donated to you if you find a company in the area that wants to contribute to your organization. If you have to pay for the food, you shouldn’t have to spend much money on it at all. Just make sure you have drinks, plates, silverware, and everything else people will need to eat the breakfast food.

You can market the breakfast just about anywhere because most people look forward to events like this in a town. Try reaching out on the radio or at sporting events for high schools and colleges in your area. Those are times when you will have access to a ton of members from your community, and that will help draw a crowd to your breakfast. You may attract donations from the highest paying careers if you play your cards right.

You can choose to either charge a fee for the breakfast or offer it for free and ask for donations. The fee would guarantee that you make money, but the donation option may lead to better profits in the end. You just have to gauge the crowd and see what option would work best for you. Ideally, you need to set everything up like a buffet, rather than a restaurant where people order specific food. You’ll figure it out in time. You just have to experiment and see what works for you.

Making a Website for Your Organization

If you are planning to fundraise for an organization you are in, you might want to create a website for the group. This will show others what the organization is all about, and it will give you a chance to showcase your fundraisers for everyone to see. A website will also help legitimize your organization, and it will give you a way to market beyond your local area. You don’t have to be a computer systems analyst to build a website. In fact, you may be surprised by just how easy it is. Here is a basic guide to creating a website for as little money as possible.

Step 1 – Domain Registration and Hosting

You have two options in creating a website. You can either sign up for a free site with a place like Yola.com or Tumblr.com, or you can setup your own domain name (i.e. www.yourorganization.com). The free sites may be cheaper to work with, but they won’t give you many options in terms of making your own site. You’ll also have to deal with a domain name, like www.yourorganization.yola.com or www.yola.com/yourorganization. If you have your own domain name, you will have a more professional image on the web and you will have more marketing potential for your group. That’s what we’ll assume you’re doing for the rest of these steps.

To sign up for a domain name, you will have to pay for it and the hosting associated with it. A hosting account basically gives your website a place on the web, and the domain gives it a name. You need both. You can buy a domain name from GoDaddy.com for $7.49 if you use the coupon code “cjc749fat.” If not, domains are usually less than $11. After that, you will need to sign up for a hosting plan.

There are several hosting plans to choose from, so you will need to look through the options to see what works for you. If you get a Deluxe Hosting Plan, you can host as many websites as you want for one monthly price. If there are other websites you want to create in the future, that would be the option to go with.

Step 2 – Install WordPress

Once you have a hosted site on the web (which may take a few days to fully establish), you can install WordPress on the site for free to manage your content. WordPress is typically considered a blogging platform, but you can use it for business sites, photo galleries, ecommerce sites, and more. It is a content management system that anyone can use, and it gives you the chance to do just about anything you want with a site with the right template on hand.

To install WordPress through GoDaddy, all you have to do is go through the WordPress application in your hosting account. Otherwise, you will need to refer to WordPress.org to learn How to Install WordPress on a Website. This process is more complicated than the GoDaddy option, so you might want to stick with that one instead.

Step 3 – Pick and Install a Theme

When you have WordPress in place, log into the administration panel. There you will see all the different sections of the site from the back end. You can create pages, posts, plugins and more through the easy-to-navigate interface. If you want to create a theme for the site that will determine what your pages look like, you can either buy a theme from the hundreds of directories on the web or you can look into the free WordPress themes provided by WordPress itself. Install the theme on the site, and then you’re all set.

You can update all of your content from that point, and you don’t have to have any web development knowledge to do so. Create a fan page for your organization on Facebook and start promoting your website there. If you use your resources enough, you can easily get other people interested in your fundraisers in the future.

Sports Fundraising – Making the Most for Your Team

Sports fundraising is a necessary part of having a sports team. The team needs money for uniforms, equipment, training coaches and more, and as a result, people have to do sports fundraisers to earn some extra money. Sports fundraising is usually more successful than other fundraising efforts because of the general passion people have for sports in the country. That does not make this any easier though. There are still struggles that come along with this like any other fundraisers. Here is a look at some ways you can earn the most possible money from your fundraisers.

Promote at Games

You need to campaign for money at local games and other places where a large crowd of potential donors would be. If you promote your sports fundraisers in a good location, you are more likely to get money from people who actually care about your team and the sport you play. If you can make an announcement about your sports fundraising at a pep rally or awards banquet for the sport, that would work too. In some cases, you may even make an announcement about the fundraiser through a school intercom, assuming the team is part of a school. Just try to reach people as much as you can.

Hold Fundraisers Online

You can take your sports fundraising to a whole new level if you bring it to the web. That is because online sports fundraisers are so convenient to control and get money through. When people know about a fundraiser online, all they have to do is go to a website and load money for the team. Their efforts are minimized, and so are your efforts on the management side. All you have to do is withdraw money from your online account when it comes time to do that and you are all set.

Fit the Team

Make sure that the sports fundraising that you do actually matches the team. For instance, you would not want to run a men’s basketball campaign where you sell women’s lingerie. There needs to be a neutral feel to the sports fundraisers you try. If you look to food for the answer, work with something like candy that is most likely to appeal to a large group of people. Do not get anything too specialized. In the end, a bit of planning can go a long way. Figure out what your goals are as a team and then pick the fundraising effort that will best work for you.

Consider the Seasons

You need to make sure that you have proper timing for your fundraiser. This will make a big difference in the amount of money you can earn. Even donors making event planner salaries have limits to when they can spend money throughout the year. The tail end of tax season and he last two weeks in the year are both terrible times to hold fundraisers because no one has any money. Avoid times like that and you will have a much better chance for success.

Conclusion

Sports fundraising is not always easy, but it can lead to a good source of money if you do it correctly. Whether you’re involved with a team for your university or you have a community team you participate in, you can plan a successful fundraiser for the group. Americans love sports, and all you have to do is reach out to the right people to support your goals. With the right determination, you can make as much money as you want.

Benefits of Fundraising Online

Every school, organization, club, and team needs some kind of funding to do what they need to do. That money usually comes from fundraising efforts or donations from a benefactor. Traditional fundraisers, like candle sales and car washes, are usually hit or miss. You either make sales or you don’t. There is nothing you can do to fix that. If you want a bigger guarantee though, you may want to focus your efforts to fundraising online. This is a revolutionary process that could do wonders for your group or cause. Here is a look at the benefits of internet fundraising.

Larger Donation Pool

When you start fundraising online, you can pull from a much larger group of people. Think about a standard car wash in comparison. With that kind of fundraising, you can only rely on money to come from the people that happen to pass by your car wash. If you market the event a bit, you may be able to pull some people in from neighboring towns, but that will be it. When you work through social media on the internet to market your cause, you can literally get funding from across the world. The potential earnings are endless.

Simple Management

Managing your fundraising is much easier online. There you can see just how much money is coming in and going out for your fundraising efforts, and you can see where you are getting the most money from. If you find that one fundraiser is working better than another, you may think about focusing more efforts on the successful one. You can make a plan that will actually yield results, and then you can adjust your fundraising to fit your needs. All of this happens in an instant through the World Wide Web.

Fundraising online is simple to do. You can manage it all from home, just like you would an online associates degree. You never have to think about going out and spending a whole day at a bake sale only to make $5. You can stay at home and still earn money for your fundraiser. This is one of the most convenient and fast paced ways to go about fundraising nowadays, and it is sure to change the way that people earn and donate in the future. If you have internet access and a cause you need money for, think about putting your efforts on the web. You may only be a few clicks away from the money you need.

Convenient Donating Options

When you run a fundraiser online, you can collect funding right on the web. This makes it convenient for people who want to donate to your organization because they can simply click a button and help your cause. A lot of people will avoid donating to a fundraiser because of the amount of effort they have to put into giving money. In this case, they don’t have to put forth any effort at all.

Final Thoughts

You don’t have to hold all of your fundraisers online, but you should at least keep this option in mind for the future. There are plenty of sites out there that will allow you to conduct fundraisers whenever you want. You just have to look for the one that is best for you. No matter how much money you need or what cause you’re raising money for, you can find something to fundraise through online. Take a look at the many options available to find something that will work for you. You’ll be on your way to making money in no time.

Non-Profit Fundraising – Using the Web for Non-Profit Fundraisers

Non-profit fundraising is a necessity for keeping a non-profit organization in business. Without any profits flowing in, a company has no capital to invest in its efforts. It needs the help of donors to get anything done. If you have a non-profit organization you need to raise money for while you pursue your online business degree, you may think about taking your efforts to the web. The internet provides an array of opportunities for your non-profit fundraisers, and it is not hard to work with. Take a moment to read on so you can see just what the internet may be able to do for you.

View Your Earnings

If you conduct your non-profit fundraisers online, you can actually see how much money you are earning at a given time. The web gives you a real time look at who has made donations to your group and what the amount of those donations were. You can keep track of where you are with your non-profit fundraising goals and then make adjustments as needed to possibly earn more money. When you reach a goal you had, you can stop the fundraiser or let it keep building more money for you to use with your group. That is up to you.

Unlimited Potential

Non-profit fundraising online is easy to do because you basically let the web do the work for you. You can market your non-profit fundraisers through the web, and you can allow someone to make a donation for you at any time. Most live fundraisers are limited in their abilities because people are not around to collect money at all times in the night. Online, the website you work through will be able to collect payments for you any time someone wants to donate. This makes the process much more profitable in the end.

How to Hold a Charity Fundraiser Online

To do your charity fundraising online, you first need to think about where you want to have the fundraiser. You can go to a website and post your cause, and then you will work on marketing it from there. Some charity fundraisers cost money online, so you need to be watchful of setup fees, monthly fees, annual fees, and other hidden costs you will have to pay. In many cases, you actually lose money with an online fundraiser because the company cheated you out of a ton of funding in fees. If you look carefully though, you can find a place that offers you a hassle free option for your fundraising needs.

Once you have an account on the website, you can start your different charity fundraising campaigns. Enter information about your charity and what your needs are, and create as many campaigns as you like. You will be able to manage all of these campaigns from one account online, so you can see if you are making money through each of them. When donors want to make a donation to you, they can go online to the site and do that right away. Money is processed right to your account, minus a standard processing fee that every site has.

When you want to withdraw the money for your charity fundraisers, there will be an option through the site to do that. Then you can collect the funds and deposit them where they need to go. You can market your charity fundraising through social networks or even a site you have for your charity. Since the audience online is so large, chances are you will find donors that feel compassion for your cause.

Conclusion

If you have not explored your options with non-profit fundraising online, you may want to hop on the web right away. The sooner you begin your non-profit fundraisers online, the sooner you can bring in money from the thousands of potential donors on the web. Everything is easy to manage and easy to change, and you can have all of your money stored in an online account until you are ready to take it out. You will be able to bypass hefty overhead costs associated with common fundraisers so you have more money in your pocket. Your non-profit will be booming in no time.

Event Fundraising – What You Might Be Doing Wrong

If you have ever tried event fundraising for your medical assistant program, you know how frustrating the process is. As much as you try to make people see your needs for the event, few of them actually donate to your cause. Event fundraisers can be a challenge, but that does not mean that they have to be impossible. You just have to know what you are going to do and how you are going to do it. Simple mistakes can cause you to lose a lot of money though, so you may want to figure out how you could go wrong. Some of the tips below should help you get through your fundraising.

Bad Choice of Audience

One of the biggest problems that people have with even fundraising is that they do not reach a large enough audience of people. Some of them will rely on having children campaign for money, and others will only hold one fundraiser in a remote location that has a limited audience. Whatever the case may be, if you do not have people, you will not have money. If you hold event fundraisers online, you can reach a huge amount of people thanks to social networks and other places where many people go online. With a single effort, you can spread the word to as many people as you need to.

Limited Profit Margins

Another problem people come across with event fundraisers is that they have to pay too much money to the people they got the fundraiser from. For instance, if you want to do a catalog sale as a way of event fundraising, you may have to send half or more of your profits to the catalog company. That makes it even harder for you to earn money in the first place. If you work online, you will have little to no fees to cover and you will still make a ton of money for your cause. You can make the most of every dollar donated to you.

Poor Bookkeeping

Sometimes, unsuccessful event managing is simply the result of poor bookkeeping. If you are worried that you will not be able to properly keep track of the incoming and outgoing funds involved, you might think about working online. That way the computer does all of the work for you. You can run many different event fundraisers without ever having to worry about mixing up the funds. The web makes all of this much simpler in the end, so check out your options there today.

Good Fundraisers to Try

If you are stuck on what to do for your fundraiser, some of the ideas may spark a thought in your mind. Try one of these out:

• Bake Sales: A standard bake sale is one of the most common forms of group fundraising around. To do this, you need to find a location to do the bake sale, and you need to find a way to gather all the materials for it. This can cost money, but in some cases you may be able to get people to donate the food and supplies for the baking. Just like with other group fundraisers, bake sales are not always successful. If the weather is bad, your products could melt or harden when you do not want them to. If there are not enough people at the location that day, you may not get any customers at all. Nevertheless, this is an idea.
• Other Sales: Some people rely on catalog sales for group fundraising, where group members take catalogs of products to sell to other people for profit. The problem with those group fundraisers is that the catalog people may ask for 50% of the profits or more from the fundraising efforts. That makes sense because they need to make a profit too, but that eats away at the potential money you could be earning. You could try another kind of food sale, like a popcorn or candy sale, but that could be just as hit or miss as any other efforts you make.
• Online Fundraisers: There are no guaranteed fundraisers out there, but having a fundraiser online should be successful for you. In that case, you can raise awareness for your cause and your group fundraising right on the web. You can also manage the money you make online as you campaign. Other people will be willing to donate because they can do so on their computers, so you are more likely to hit your goals in the end. Online fundraising is the best way to go for a convenient way to earn money.

Church Fundraising – Tips for Earning More Money in Church Fundraisers

The only way that churches can have money is through communion services and church fundraising. When there are mission trips to plan or renovations required for the church, it takes an extra effort on everyone’s part to complete as many successful church fundraisers as possible. Some of these events do turn out to be a success, but many of them fall short of the funds needed for the mission, renovation, or other need for the church. If you are a participant in church fundraisers while you learn how to become a medical assistant, you may want to help your church get the money they need. In order to guarantee that you will get money from your efforts, consider some of the tips below.

Marketing

You have to think about ways to market your church fundraisers. In some cases that may just mean mentioning the church fundraising at a Sunday service, but in other cases, you need to think about widespread marketing. Flyers and posters will help some, but if you really want to reach out to people nowadays, you need to think about going online. You can promote your fundraiser on your social network pages and the church website so you will get as many people to know about it as you possibly can. The results should be much better after that.

Online Fundraisers

Another option you can think about is actually having your church fundraisers online. That will make it easier for you to keep track of the money that is going in and out of the church, and it will also help you process the money that results from the church fundraising. This makes everything much simpler because you can do it from a computer, and it allows donors to have a convenient way of giving you money. All they have to do is go online and upload a payment. They are much more likely to give you money if they are able to do it quickly at home.

Good Donors

Successful church fundraising is all about reaching the right people at the right time. You can do that easily on the web, and it will not cost you much money at all. If you are set on having a live fundraiser though, at least make sure that you do it in a place that you can reach logical donors. Then make sure you have the right church fundraisers for your community. If you plan in the wrong way, you may spend a ton of time fundraising for no reason. Hopefully, a little strategic planning and some help from a marketing team will allow you to get all the funding you need and more.

Proper Timing

Try to hold fundraisers for the church when people will actually have money in your community. If you hold the fundraisers around Christmas, you probably won’t get much money. People are too busy buying gifts for their families. If you can schedule the fundraisers during other times in the year when people may have more money to spare, you will build up a better cash flow to help your church out.

A successful fundraiser comes down to proper planning every time. If you do not have a plan for success, you will not be able to achieve success. If you aren’t a religious person, you can still apply these principles to fundraisers in your own establishment. We all need to raise money at one point or another. With a little planning and some luck along the way, you should build up the funds you need in no time.

Pros and Cons of Bake Sales

Bake sales are among the most popular choices for fundraisers in college and high school alike. No matter what online school organization you are a part of, you will probably think about running a bake sale at some point in time. This may not be a good decision on your part, depending on how you approach the bake sale. It would be in your best interest to consider all sides of the event before you rely on it to raise money for your organization. Here are some pros and cons to keep in mind the next time you want to run a bake sale for money.

Pros of Bake Sales

• Easy to Setup: All you need to setup a bake sale is a place to sell your food and a set of baked goods to put out. You could get donations from all the members of your organization, or you could use some of the club’s money to buy baking supplies before the event. It all depends on what resources you have at the time.
• Recognizable: People know what bake sales are, and many of them are drawn to bake sales to see what you have to sell. If you are raising money for a worthy organization, people may buy cookies and other baked goods from your sale just to support the group. You can have a donation jar on your sales table for people looking to do just that.
• Universally Appealing: Children and adults alike love bake sales because they offer freshly baked goods that have a homemade charm. You should be able to gather a crowd of people young and old if you have some particularly scrumptious treats to sell. There are plenty of different foods out there that work well in bake sales, so you should have no problem getting an enticing variety.

Cons of Bake Sales

• Seasonal Sales: you can’t run bake sales at any time of the year because the weather won’t always allow for them. You can run indoor bake sales at any time, but those won’t draw in a crowd like outdoor ones will. Thus you will have to plan yours for a time when there is a low chance for rain and the heat or cold isn’t going to be too extreme for the food you bake.
• Scared Customers: Many customers are scared to buy from bake sales because they don’t know what people may have put in the food. It’s sad to think that humans aren’t trustworthy anymore, but that is the grim reality we live in. You may not conjure up much in sales at all if people are afraid to buy from you.
• Low Profits: When you figure in the costs of ingredients to make all of the baked goods for the sale, you might not make much money at all from your bake sale. This is not always the case, but for the most part, these fundraisers yield low profits for organizations. You might have a brilliant marketing plan to prove me wrong, but I haven’t seen a group do so yet.

The Verdict

Bake sales are fun, and they do have the potential to be profitable. The only problem is actually finding a plan that is going to lead to money that is worth the time it takes to prepare for the sale. You could try a bake sale one time to see how it works for your organization, but I have a feeling you’ll be moving onto something else soon enough. At least now you can’t say I didn’t warn you.

Good Charities to Raise Money for

Fundraisers don’t always have to be meant for personal use. You could spend time as an organization raising money for a noteworthy charity that you care about. There are literally thousands of charities to choose from, but some of them are more well-known than others. The ones listed below are some of the most popular charities around nowadays, but feel free to explore local opportunities if you would prefer helping people directly in the community. Here are a few charitable organizations you may aspire to raise money for after your online courses.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is an organization that builds homes for worthy families that may not be able to buy a house on their own. The organization used to give these homes away for free to those in need, but the crash in the economy limited their abilities to do that. Now they offer the homes at low prices for qualified families so they can still get a place of their own in time.

Your organization could raise money for Habitat for Humanity, but that is not the only way you can help out. You could donate some time to helping on a new build in your area, or you could donate furniture and building materials that they could sell or use in new homes. My high school Key Club worked with Habitat for Humanity a lot, and I would spend every weekend there painting, laying concrete, giving out food to the workers, and doing whatever I could to help out. I even got the chance to design the sign for the side of the main office, which I later painted on the wall along with a friend of mine. Needless to say, this charity is near and dear to my heart.

Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House Charities help families with children in the hospital for extended periods of time. The charity is designed to provide stability for families in need during the toughest times imaginable. They do this by providing affordable or free housing for parents who must go to a different city for their children’s hospital treatments. They also offer food and emotional support for these families as their children get better.

I have personally visited one of the Ronald McDonald Houses, and I’ve spoken with the family members who need the help from the charity. They’re people just like you and me who have terrible circumstances facing their children’s health. During my short time there, I heard about everything from fatal illnesses to severe birth defects, and I couldn’t help but sympathize for these families. You may feel the same way.

Your group could donate soda can tabs to the charity, which they will use for money by melting it into scrap metal. You could also donate time to one of the houses or money to help them support families in your area. That is up to you.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Yet another charity that I have personally worked with is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This hospital is devoted to treating children with cancer, and it has a large team of researchers aiming to find the cure for cancer. Your group could do something as simple as sending out flyers asking for people to donate money to St. Jude, or you could hold a whole fundraiser in its honor. You’d be amazed by how many people will donate money because of the name of the charity alone. The support is out there. You just have to gather it and channel it to the right place.

Do some research about charities your organization may want to spend time fundraising for, and then make a plan to get the best results possible. With a little effort, you could make a huge difference in someone else’s life.

5 Great Halloween Fundraiser Ideas

Halloween is right around the corner, and it may be a perfect time to have a fundraiser for your organization. No matter which online university you attend, you could potentially benefit from a Halloween fundraiser. There are tons of different ideas out there, but I came up with a list of five that I thought were the easiest to manage and potentially most profitable in the end. Here are five great fundraisers to use around Halloween.

1 – Halloween Safe House

A Halloween safe house is a place where parents can take their children to trick or treat without having to worry about whoever may be lurking in the neighborhoods. You can use this idea as a way to raise money for your organization. Charge a low admissions fee for people to get in, and then you could hand out candy, run a haunted house, offer arcade games, and do so much more. If you get the candy and other snacks donated from some of the grocery stores in your area, you may not have to pay much money at all to make this happen. You can run the safe house in a building on campus or at a local church or library. As long as there is a decent amount of space to hold a set of children, you should be able to make them happy and earn some money at the same time.

2 – Jack-O-Lantern Sales

Get all the members of your organization together to carve pumpkins, and then you could sell them right before Halloween for a profit. This will require a little bit of work on your part, but not much. You can buy pumpkin carving kits for next to nothing at most craft and costume supply stores. Then all you have to do is make the designs and start the carvings. You could have a carving contest in the group to see who can make the best looking Jack-O-Lantern. That may make the work a little more fun and enticing.

3 – Halloween Candy Sales

If you can get a good catalog of candy to sell, you may be able to make a decent profit just selling candy to people who plan to participate in trick or treating. You need to make sure that the candy you sell is going to get to your customers before Halloween. Otherwise they will be incredibly upset that they wasted a ton of money on candy they couldn’t use. If you get the candy early enough, you should have no trouble getting it to people in time for the big day.

4 – Halloween Movie Night

If you have access to an auditorium with a large projector, you could use it to show Halloween movies to people in your community. You can charge money for tickets and food just like a legitimate theater, but all you’ll want to show are scary movies from the past. You could show the Mike Meyers Halloween series, or you could go for something like the Jason movies. It doesn’t really matter what you play as long as people like it. You can make the movies as scary or family-friendly as you want to.

5 – Trick or Treating Services

You could offer to take kids in the area around to trick or treat. This is a great way for children to have the Halloween experiences without cutting into a parent’s busy schedule. Just collect a babysitting fee for the time you’re out, and make sure to get some money to cover fuel costs. Then members of your organization can take children around to get candy on their favorite night. You’ll be making people happy and earning money for the organization at the same time. Everyone wins.
